Demi and the kids

It is July so the campings of Limone are full with families. And we are teaching for and more children. From the ages of 8 years old kids can do the test lesson. During this lesson they learn to control they kite and they make a bodysurf in the water. This is super fun! After the test lesson we can decided if they are ready to also learn to kitesurf on a board. We have wetsuits for children from 125 cm long. Also we have xxxs harrnesses, lifejackets, boards and kites. Lake Garda is a very safe place for them to learn it. A lot of free space and no obstacles. Are you 8 years or older? Come and join the ride with us!

Hi, did not receive an automated email reply when I sent this the first time, try again now:

I have started to learn kitesurfing in a north european country. I am 50+years of age and not very sporty or strong, but always enjoyed flying kites (not for moving) on land. The course I take at the moment say that they teach me on a small water kite which is 5.5 square meter, but even with only 10 -12 knots this kite drags Me through the shallow water, no way I can control it. I have asked several times, if there is no small water-launchable kite (maybe 2.5 or 3 square meter), but they don’t think so. I also wonder if half the line lenght might make it less stressful for me, which they also kind of reject. My experience with land kite is that I preferred smaller ones on shorter lines at the beginning and then longer lines and maybe a bit bigger kites. I do NOT aim for fast speed kitesurfing and flying. I just want to be able to feel comfortabel and easy gliding through shallow waters and enjoy it instead of struggling to control a strong kite that pulls me over any time. Despite several lessons I am not even on a board yet, because the kite pulls me more than I control it. Do you have any advice for maybe different equipment for an ‘elderly non sporty female person’ (in comparison to strong young sporty guys)? Thank you in advance.
