Wind Riders philosophy:
We guarantee quality: With our 5 day course you are consistent riding your board. If you do not reach this you get unlimited days for free.
Teaching from a boat is very efficient. No walking back on the beach and a lot of direct feedback. Our instructors are experienced IKO qualified instructors. Every 3 months we get brand new kites, so you will never experience equipment failure during your lesson. Our kites relaunch super easy, this will make you learn faster and feel more confident and independent. You have your own kite (and board) and spend the maximum time in the water. Your instructor coaches you with the radio helmet, gives you demonstration and answers your questions. We have boards in all sizes, from 125 cm to 164 cm. We teach our beginners on big boards downwind riding. But if you’ve started your kitesurf lessons at another school with other sized equipment, you may continue the way you started. For example: with a medium board, cross wind riding.
We guarantee safety: We do not accept board leashes in our school. Neither for students nor for independent kitesurfers. Board leashes are forbidden.
On all our student boards you find a GO-JOE. This tool makes it easier to see your board, and the wind blows against it, so that you reach it easier. Also independent riders can use our GO-JOES on their own boards. Before we hook you up on a kite we let you practice how to use the safety systems. Also at the end of every lesson you practice activating both the safeties. This way you will learn where to find them blind by the end of the course! We offer all kinds of suits. Dry-suits and shoes for the beginners at the start of the season. Wetsuits and shorties for when the water gets warmer. All to keep you comfortable warm. On Lake Garda it’s obligatory to wear a floatation device. All our students get a kite lifejacket and our advanced riders an impact vest. We offer the radio-helmets for students, and normal helmet for anyone who wishes to use one. The kites we are using for the lessons have an excellent depower. In case you loose control of your kite, you only need to let go of the bar. This way the kite looses all his power and will stop pulling you. Another advantage of learning at lake garda is, that we launch you from our boat in the middle of the lake. Here you do not find any obstacles and there are never too many other riders around. So you can fully concentrate on your own riding.
We guarantee fun:
Our kite sessions last about 3 hours. After the session when your instructor has collected all the students he will kite about 20 minutes himself. What is more fun than to see that your teacher is loving it to kitesurf himself? He will show you his latest moves and you will see how fun kitesurfing can be. Back on the land after the morning session we bring the equipment back in storage and go to the Cherenguito beachbar for a delicious lunch. All Wind Riders team members eat here and the food is great. After the afternoon session you can have some italian aperitifs here. Most beginners take the full 5-Day course with us. Because you spent some time together on the boat and at the bar, you get to know the other students quite well. We’ve seen some kitebuddies getting together here. Once a week we organize a dinner out. Let us take you to the best pizza place in town or any other typical Italian restaurant. Check our calendar for the events we are organizing. Lake Garda is well know for it’s wind, so off course many big kitesurf events are taking place here. This is your chance to spot some pro riders on the water and hang out with them on the beach.
